NAPA, CA – 12.29.2025 Amber Hayes, a California family law attorney and Certified Family Law Specialist, has been elected Vice Chair of the Health & Wellness Committee for the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association (ABA).
The ABA Family Law Section’s Health & Wellness Committee is dedicated to advancing the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of family law practitioners nationwide. The committee addresses issues such as professional burnout, stress management, ethical sustainability, and the unique demands of practicing in high-conflict and emotionally intensive legal environments. As Vice Chair, Hayes will help shape national programming, educational initiatives, and thought leadership focused on fostering healthier, more resilient family law practices.
Hayes brings a depth of experience to the role, combining a sophisticated family law practice with a longstanding commitment to attorney wellness and professional responsibility. She has been selected to Super Lawyers each year from 2020 through 2025, a distinction awarded to a small percentage of attorneys based on peer recognition and professional achievement.
“I’m honored to serve in this role at a moment when the profession is having more honest conversations about the realities of family law practice,” said Hayes. “Attorney wellness is not ancillary to the work. It is central to ethical advocacy, sound judgment, and meaningful service to clients.”
The ABA Family Law Section is one of the largest and most influential sections of the American Bar Association, providing leadership, education, and resources on issues impacting families and family law practitioners across the country.
